WEB EXCLUSIVE: A Gold Medal Performance (08-09-04)
Not even the hysterical home court fans could give Puerto Rico the much-needed boost they so badly needed. Adding insult to injury, there was a patented Candace Parker dunk, which brought the crowd to its feet. Much as they have been throughout the entire tournament, the US was in control from buzzer to buzzer, ultimately winning the game by the score of 121-56. more >

WEB EXCLUSIVE: Another Game, Another Victory (08-08-04)
With their sights set on winning the prestigious gold medal, the USA Junior National Olympic team came prepared for the tallest and perhaps most physical team in the tournament, Brazil. Well, lets just say size isn’t everything, as the US team quickly disposed of any hopes the Brazilian team had of winning or even staying in the game. Led by Laura Harper and Candace Parker, who scored nearly 26 of the teams 49 first half points, the US went on a three minute barrage that saw them score 21 points to Brazil’s 6. more >

WEB EXCLUSIVE: Team USA routs Puerto Rico (08-07-04)
With a brief period of time to stretch out and get loose prior to the games start, the USA team got off to its slowest start yet. With just a four point lead at the six minute mark, the game seemed to have a different feel to it then the previous ones that were pretty much over before they even started. more >

WEB EXCLUSIVE: Junior National Olympic Blowout (08-06-04)
The red, white and blue was flying high yesterday, as the girl’s Junior National Olympic squad ran wild once again, destroying an unprepared Bolivia team by 119 points. Igniting a 56 – 3 run, Candace Parker stole the ball six different times within the first three minutes of the game, which was really all it took for the team to take a commanding lead and coast until the final buzzer. more >

WEB EXCLUSIVE: Junior National Olympic team Update (08-05-04)

WEB EXCLUSIVE: Breaking down the Olympic Journey (08-04-04)
Just imagine having choose a select few for the guards on the team and having to choose out of players like Erica White, Erika Arriaran, Matee Ajavon, Essence Carson, Erica Brown or Ashlee Trebilcock to name a few. If that's not difficult enough, how about selecting the forwards and centers for the team and having to decide between Erlana Larkins, Candace Parker, Charde' Houston, Ashley Paris, Courtney Paris, Kia Vaughn, Angelica Robinson and many others. Get the point? Only the best of the best are invited, and keep in mind that all of the players mentioned above are only the ones who made it to the qualifying event. more >
